FORGED FITTINGS – TEE
Structural Features:
Forged Tees are high-pressure pipe fittings used to distribute or combine flow in a piping system.
They have three openings – one inlet and two outlets (or vice versa) – arranged at 90-degree angles, forming a T-shape.
Manufactured by hot forging solid bars, followed by machining to precise tolerances, ensuring strength, compactness, and reliability.

Types of Tees:
Equal Tee: All three branches are of the same diameter
Reducing Tee: One or two branches are smaller than the main run
Connection ends available in Socket Weld (SW) and Threaded (THD) types

Standards:
ASME B16.11 – Forged Fittings
MSS SP-79 / SP-83 / SP-95
BS 3799 (optional)

Pressure Ratings:
Class 2000 / 3000 / 6000 / 9000
Designed for use in high-pressure and high-temperature systems

Applications:
Ideal for:

Flow branching or distribution of pressure
Instrumentation lines
Small-bore high-pressure piping
Used in industries such as:

Oil & Gas
Petrochemical
Power Plants
Marine & Offshore
Refineries
Boiler Systems

Common Materials:
Carbon Steel (ASTM A105)

Stainless Steel (ASTM A182 F304/F316, etc.)

Alloy Steel (ASTM A182 F11, F22)

Also available in Duplex, Inconel, Monel, and other exotic alloys

Connection Types:
Socket Weld (SW): Offers strong and leak-tight welds

Threaded (THD): NPT or BSPT threads, easy to assemble/disassemble

Recommendation:
Forged Tees are crucial components in any high-pressure small diameter piping system, enabling controlled flow splitting or merging.
They offer superior mechanical integrity and leak resistance compared to cast alternatives.
Recommended for use in systems requiring compact design, strength, and durability under pressure.
